Skyland Ranch
Banning, California
This newly renovated commercial kitchen and dining hall for the Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council revitalizes a cherished 1954 lodge, nestled within a sprawling 230-acre campsite and equestrian ranch in Banning, California. The renovation significantly expanded the original layout, doubling the size of the kitchen and dining areas to better support the needs of the programs. Both the interior and exterior upgrades were carefully executed to improve functionality and comfort, while honoring the building’s historical roots. Influenced by the lodge’s original architectural character, the design incorporates and preserves key elements, blending rustic charm with modern-day utility. The result is a welcoming and enduring space that enhances the overall camp experience while paying tribute to the site’s rich legacy.
